Meet Gregor
Master of Drams · Keeper of the Quaich
Some people discover whisky. I grew up inside it.
My father, Evan Cattanach, was a Master Distiller, and our family lived at distilleries across Scotland. The bottle in the photograph is a Dalwhinnie 36 Year Old, distilled in 1966 — when my father was making whisky there. That's Brodie, my trusty Springer Spaniel, keeping a close eye on it.
I've spent the last 26 years working in Scotch whisky, teaching people about it, sharing stories and meeting some cracking characters along the way.
I'm a Master of Drams and Keeper of the Quaich, but I reckon whisky is best enjoyed with good people and a bit of banter. That's what Dramigos is all about.
